Regent Seven Seas

Regent Seven Seas, formerly known as Radisson Seven Seas, was founded in 1990. The company's aim was to specialise in small capacity luxury ships offering an All-Inclusive cruise experience.

Under the Radisson Flag the company initially operated three ships: Radisson Diamond - a unique twin-hulled construction ship, Song of Flower & Paul Gauguin - based year round in the waters of French Polynesia and the Pacific Ocean. A fourth ship then joined the fleet in 1999: Seven Seas Navigator which in the early stages of construction was to be a Russian naval support vessel with a super-strength hull for navigation through icy waters. Radisson subsequently purchased the hull completing the superstructure at the Mariotti Ship Yards in Italy.

Then in 2002 the very first 'All-Veranda' Suite state-of-the-art ship was launched: Seven Seas Mariner, taking luxury cruising to a new level. This was soon followed by another 'All-Veranda' ship: Seven Seas Voyager in 2003. Regent was then purchased in 2008 for $1Billion by investment group Apollo Management who also own Oceania Cruises & 50% of NCL. This signalled a greater focus with a massive refurbishment program across the fleet and a greater ambition to market the Regent Cruise brand all over the world.
